Your Divorce Ally is run by Alissa Lang Ltd, trading as Two Threads. This page says what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: the free check is anonymous, we collect as little as we can everywhere else, we do not sell or share it, and every email we send has a way to stop them.

Reading this site. Nothing. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising tracker.
The free check. Your answers and your result (which thread, which stage) are stored anonymously so we can improve the check and the support behind it. What is never stored: your name, email address, IP address or the time of day. Only the date. If you type something in the situation box, emails, phone numbers, links and postcodes are removed automatically before it is stored, and we ask you to use initials rather than names. The same applies to the optional feedback box on the result page. Nothing from the check is ever linked to you.
Emailing yourself your result. This is the one step of the check that is not anonymous, and it is yours to choose. If you ask for your result by email, your address is passed to our email provider, Cloudflare, so the message can be delivered, and their normal delivery records apply. We do not store your address and we never join it to your answers. Print or save as PDF if you would rather it stayed fully anonymous.
Buying the programme. Our payment provider, Stripe, collects your card details directly. We never see your card number. We receive your name, email address, what you bought and the amount, so we can send your access code and keep a record of your purchase. The purchase is recorded under the name Two Threads; the word divorce does not appear on your statement or receipt.
Using your access code. When you enter your code, it is checked against our record of your purchase and the date is noted so we can see the programme is being used. Nothing about which stage you read is sent to us. Your browser remembers the code so you do not have to type it every time.
Asking for a call or a plan. If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or book a call, we keep your name, contact details, what you asked about and what was agreed, for as long as we need them to help you and keep a record of the work. WhatsApp messages are handled under Meta’s own privacy terms as well as ours.
Technical data. Our hosting platform, Cloudflare, records basic technical information such as IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and running. We keep anonymous counts of how often pages, the check and the buy button are used; those counts hold nothing about you.
This site sets no tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for two things: your light or dark theme choice, and your programme access code once you have entered it. Both stay on your device and are only ever sent to us to verify the code.
Our lawful bases are the contract with you (the programme, the calls), your consent (the emailed result), and our legitimate interest in running the site safely and improving the check.
Divorce is painful and private. What you write in the programme worksheets stays with you; we never see it. Anything you share with us directly is treated as confidential and used only to support your work with us. We do not contact anyone else about you, and we do not appear in anyone’s inbox or statement under a name that reveals what this is.
Your Divorce Ally is educational and supportive. It is not therapy, medical care, legal or financial advice, or specialist domestic abuse support. We do not diagnose and we do not keep clinical records. If you are at risk from someone, the National Domestic Abuse Helpline (0808 2000 247) or, in immediate danger, 999 are the right first calls. If a child is at risk, the NSPCC (0808 800 5000) or your local authority’s children’s services can act; we will always encourage you to report.
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only with the providers we use to run the site and the programme, and only so they can do their part: Cloudflare (hosting, our database and our email sending, EU and UK data centres), Stripe (payments), Cal.com (call booking) and Zoho (our mailbox, EU data centre). Each is bound by its own privacy terms and by contract with us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Your information is stored in the UK and the EU. Anonymous check results are kept indefinitely because they identify nobody. Purchase records are kept for six years, as tax law requires. Correspondence and call notes are kept for as long as they are useful to the work with you and then deleted.
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or have a copy in a portable form. Email us and we will act within a month. Because check results hold nothing that identifies you, we cannot find or delete an individual result; that is the point of the design. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
